Kathy Sizemore Announces Her Candidacy for the

2022 Temecula City Council Elections

Temecula, CA – Kathy Sizemore proudly announces her candidacy for the 2022 elections for the Temecula City Council representing District 3. “Temecula is a beautiful place to live. It’s been a fantastic community for my husband and I to raise our family. I’m running for Temecula City Council, representing District 3, to help ensure that Temecula continues to be a safe, prosperous, and vibrant community for future generations.” says Sizemore.

Temecula’s District 3 is in the eastern central area of Temecula and includes the communities of Crowne Hill, California Tradewinds, Paloma Del Sol, Paseo Del Sol, and Vintage Hills.

Kathy is a Commissioner for Temecula’s Community Services Commission and serves as the commission’s chairperson. She is a 25-year resident of Temecula. With her husband Chris, she owns and operates A-Bell Alarms Company, a life safety and security company serving the Southern California region. The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce recently awarded A-Bell Alarms the 2021 Bronze Business of the year and Kathy the 2021 Ambassador of the Year. Mom to Emily (22), Michael (20), and Josh (16), Kathy counts being able to raise her family in Temecula as one of her life’s greatest blessings.

“As the mom of two young adults, one in and one having just graduated from college, I’ve become more aware of some of the barriers that keep our youth from being able to come back home to Temecula after graduating college. The lack of local, higher-paying college graduate jobs, the desire to not endure a long commute as their parents have, and access to attainable housing are a few of those barriers I will work to address as a city councilmember,” says Sizemore.

Kathy has been a long-time volunteer in our community and has dedicated much of her efforts to supporting youth. She has been a registered adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America for over a decade and currently serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster with Temecula Boy Scout Troop 148. In 2021, the California Inland Empire Council awarded Kathy the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished volunteer service. Kathy is also a member of Professional Women Toastmasters of Temecula and the Temecula Rotary Club. Previously, Kathy volunteered in our community with First Robotics, Community Bible Study, and Moms Club. Kathy shares, “My mission in life is to be a source of encouragement and empowerment to others. Believing that a rising tide can lift all boats, I have carried out my life mission through community service and volunteering. As a City Councilmember, I will continue my history of more than 22 years of serving in our city with the same passion and dedication I have always had.”

The next general municipal election for the City of Temecula will be held on November 8, 2022, for three Council seats – Districts 1, 3 and 5.
